WelcomeRay in Bamboo

Hi, welcome to the Immediate Chinese website. My name is Ray and I love Chinese.

I believe I can help anyone who desires to learn Chinese do so. Without learning to read Chinese characters or even pinyin. In fact, I believe that if you can speak English, you can communicate in Chinese easily and quickly. No complicated or confusing instruction. Just learning fun.

Youtube videos

With the internet learning can be both easy and fun. I hope to entertain and this is why I do most of my teaching through youtube videos. Each of the videos has valuable lessons and hopefully is fun to watch as well.

I list my videos here with the newest video at the top of the page. If you are new to the site you may want to view the older videos first. But, it really doesn't matter as each lesson is self contained.

Under each video are three types of text. There is the immediate chinese pronunciation guide which I suggest for people who want to communicate quickly without the hassle of learning new sounds for the letters of our alphabet. I also have included Chinese pinyin so you can see how the Chinese spell their language using our alphabet. And of course there is the English translation.

This is the newest video I have uploaded. More are in the works.

I was in Waikiki and there was a parade going down Kalakaua

Avenue. I filmed the girls that I had danced with the day

earlier. The lead dancer stole my moves. Which is clear if you watch part one of the Taiwanese dancers at the bottom of this page.

This is my first video for youtube. It was made with a computer mounted eye camera. So, please excuse the quality. Still, there are some useful phrases you can learn.
